I read this comment before watching the episode and thought, well, if they had the conversation and he's an absent father, what were they supposed to do....
Then I watched the episode. What a train wreck. I was practically squirming in my chair. It was really awful and never should have aired. I understand that as Bachelor/Bachelorettes, they are always mic'ed up, so if something happens, it's filmed. They should have made an exception here and allowed that conversation to happen in private. They've allowed, or at least chosen to not air, other conversations to happen. Like some Bachelors mention "hey, I called your dad and asked for your hand" and they don't show that. They CHOSE to show this and air it, and it was inappropriate. [/quote]
