I figured someone would bring this up FYI Arlington 08 was missing a key player that probably would've made the difference and more than likely with ECNL we'll have a stronger team next year while SYC might lose half the team

Typical. League affiliation does not mask fundamental weakness and poor play. If the ECNL really does attract first rate talent, and clubs select players based on merit, then a lot of kids on that Arlington team won’t be making that decision - they will play for Arlington’s CCL team. If it’s not really about merit, then you are just using a league patch to mask individual and team weakness. [/quote]
