But it is HIGH QUALITY.  I like to buy expensive things and tell everyone about how awesome they are, go to facebook groups where we can talk about our awesomeness, and post a zillion threads on DCUM about my expensive awesome bike, because everyone that has one also wants to talk about and the poors that don’t have one want to hear about how awesome my bike is[/quote]

I don’t think this is the reason. I don’t own the bike or the tread (have other brands of both—11-year-old tread and Sunny bike) but I am really into Peloton. Try to keep up with streaks, earn badges, etc. I don’t talk about it all the time with non-Peloton people, and I don’t join power zone type things but I must say they do a great job of getting people to love exercise when they didn’t used to. It’s gamification of fitness and the social aspect. This applies even if you don’t buy their equipment and only use the app.[/quote]
