She is not dumb. She did go to Harvard, after all. But in my experience it takes a certain ability to separate oneself from the required statements the Press Secretary typically makes.

Professional detachment and ability to connect with the Press.

Instead, she over identifies - personally- with Trump and is under water with the Press she is facing. She doesn't see them as colleagues- her colleagues- and try to answer their questions showing respect for them.

Instead, she is defensive and hostile.

I suspect given the fact that she is beautiful and smart life has not prepared her for a crowd that treats her with derision every day. Its a bit of entitlement to be conditioned to being treated warmly when you are that pretty. Not her fault- just life.

Sarah Saunders looked like she would cry most times, perhaps that is because she is more used to rejection. INstead, Kayleigh is like " what is wrong with YOU , I'm Kayleigh " and she is.... but just not in this context.[/quote]
