You're in denial. Whether it is their culture or not, they have NO choice. If they don't offer it as an option, they will lose talent to other companies that do. Can't have that.

I have it in writing from some of the hiring managers that these positions have the option of full time remote working.

My prediction as the owner of a recruiting company? Amazon HQ2 will have zero effect on DMV real estate. Especially after COVID. If anybody bought in anticipation of RE appreciating [i]because[/i] of HQ2, they are in for a rude awakening.[/quote]
One of my siblings just turned down a PM job with Amazon because it would require moving long term. Their current job is also not WFH and they have elected to occasionally go into the office. A lot of young people do not want to WFH full-time. [b]Can’t imagine the number that does on people’s mental health when you are unmarried, childless, and don’t even see co-workers every day.
