Not true.  No one uses world rankings to make college decisions.  You are falling for the commercial hype.  These lists make money.[/quote]

It's been around since 1983 and is considered the gold standard.  The other publishing outfits realized there was money in making up these lists so WSJ, Princeton, etc. all joined in. They ALL do it to make money.  They make money because someone thinks they are getting eyeballs.  If they are getting eyeballs, then someone may be using it to inform their decision-making.  If not why would anyone buy advertising?

Do you think the oldest is always the best?  Still using Netscape?  In your (and many others) opinion, USN&WR is the best.  That is fine, but it is still an opinion.[/quote]
