PP, I think the relevant thing is[b] how you feel about it, not what this woman’s intentions are. If you don’t feel comfortable hanging out with someone from your old group, don’t. Especially if it raises your emotions about being ostracized from the group or makes you think about them more.[/b] I agree there isn’t much point in telling her why you don’t want to see her (she may just go back and tell the group about it, giving them more fodder for their gossip mill). I would just continue to decline the invites, stay polite, and avoid her at school functions. Busy yourself with other people who aren’t part of that crowd. She’ll get the hint eventually.[/quote]
