It's just so bizarre that they didn't put their bedroom upstairs and instead took a perfectly good living room, walled it off, and turned it into a bedroom.  And now the drama with "we can't put a fireplace there because it's against code to have a ventless fireplace in the bedroom."  First, what kind of a moron removes a chimney, and second, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A LIVING ROOM.  So dumb. This house is a disaster.[/quote]

The crystal candle thing they rigged up to replace the fake logs was behind ridiculous.  They need to move to a bigger house so they can get back to what they are good at.  I think it will be soon, they already admitted to having dropped their plans to add a master closet and bath.[/quote]

It seems to me like they've either given up and are going to move soon, or fixing all the water damage on their first floor plus all the exterior work means they've run out of money.  But I don't understand how they could have sold three houses (does the duplex count as one or two?) and only bought one (even if cost them $800K plus, say, $100K in renovations) and be out of money. [/quote]They spent a ton of money renovating those three beach houses and they would have had to pay capital gains taxes because they didnt own the houses for very long.  Even if they made money on the flips, it's very possible they made the equivalent of minimum wage by the time you count the time they spent sourcing, driving back and forth, tiling, making trips to IKEA, obsessing, etc.  It wasn't exactly an efficient process.[/quote]
