I have never gotten the argument that sitting in the left lane is dangerous because traffic stacks up behind you so the person sitting in the left lane are the dangerous drivers. The dangerous drivers are the people speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating etc because that person is driving the speed limit in left lane. Thie wrong parties are being blamed for the dangerous outcome. (for the record, I drive almost never and I keep right except to pass on highways but that is because I don't want people to weave in and out and cut me off in the left lane. I would highly prefer that speeders and people doing the weaving were held accountable for their super dangerous actions)[/quote]
