It is so sad a Harvard educated bird watcher gets falsely accused of assaulting a white woman. Luckily he was able to film the interaction. Off leash dogs are a huge threat to migrating birds! This describes where the woman was illegally walking her dog. "The Ramble is the single most popular wooded area of the park for birding, particularly where the stream nicknamed "The Gill" flows. In the spring, the treetops are lush with migrating warblers." What utter hubris of that woman to call the police on the bird watcher when she was doing something illegal! She needs to be cited for having her dog off leash at a minimum.
What does Harvard have to do with it?
Because if he was homeless or on probation you would have said he deserved to be cited by the police for doing...nothing. And correcting her for illegally running her dog off-leash. Citation - Ahmaud Arbery
Me?? Heck no, I'm an ultra liberal who read your post as if somehow he's more valuable than Ahmaud Arbery.
The you here was impersonal and I didn't originally post the Harvard note. Its important to note however that being of a socioeconomic class didn't protect this man from racism from a woman who is an immigrant.
If you look at his account of the incident on CNN, he was deliberately bating her and clearly does this a lot as he carries dog treats. He was trying to take her dog from her via bribing it with treats. He purposely provoked her and only recorded part of it but by his account he was as inappropriate as she was. Both were in the wrong but he clearly set it up.
