And go read up on the history of socialism is Sweden. For decades the Swedes implemented exactly what morons like AOC and the fringe left these days call for.  Sweden was dogged for years with anemic economic growth, huge deficits, and inflation.  Sweden didn't become successful until moderates took back the country, scales back socialist programs, REDUCED taxes, and enacted strong capitalist reforms.  Sweden has pro-capitalism laws that'd make US lefties cry.

And the Prime Minister of Denmark had to correct US' idiots on the left a few years back when he gave a speech at Harvard.  He explicitly corrected liberals that Denmark wasn't socialist, but was grounded in very strong capitalist roots:

My best friend from college that I still talk to almost 20 years later is a dual US-Swedish citizen. He moved over there around 2009 or so.  I talked to him just the other week.  He was basically lamenting how much Sweden has changed after taking in so many refugees. They refuse to integrate and speak Swedish. Stockholm has gotten dirtier and less safe. He was also pissing and moaning about healthcare, because he thinks he may have gotten COVID, but docs refused to test him.  He also said the quality of care is mediocre, and waiting times can take forever. He'd support a system with private health care insurance if it'd enable you to get higher quality care quicker. He's actually thinking about moving back to the US now because he can't tolerate the weather, his salary would be far higher in the US, and he'd pay far less in taxes. [/quote]
