We are not a democracy when the wealthy, corporations, lobbyists and PACs buy influence over congress.  The only influence should be constituent' voices. Gun control is a case in point.  Nothing gets passed despite popular support for change. Meanwhile, children in the richest country in the world have to fear being killed at school. The only way this will stop is if we stop/curb the influence of moneyed elites.  I like Mayor Pete but can't support him because of the donations he's taken.  This is why Bernie is such a threat to the democratic establishment.  They want the big donations to keep coming and don't care that we don't make progress as a nation.[/quote]
