Vote out members who have been there too long. We have representatives that have been there for 50+ years! Many more with 20-50 years. Long time battles hold, biases and prejudices carry on and less gets done because X won't talk to Y based on history.  Replace them with new ideas and wash away some of the interoffice battles. Same in the Senate.

Replace them with the same party. I don't care. But just replace them instead of voting to keep the most powerful to bring the bacon back to your district. That pits district against district and sets state against state. We were never meant to be ruled by lifers. This is institutionalized madness.
