I am probably going to get flamed for this, but I see so many heartbreaking stories of refugees and many have very young children or babies. I guess I don't really understand if you are in an environment where you need to flee your circumstances why you would continue to have children. Why would you continue to bring new children into those situations?
By want something to want and need them, and a baby provides that to them. This has been studied for decades in poor countries and in generational poverty groups in America.
You don't think MC/UC people have children for the same reason?
NP no. I wanted children because I thought I could give them a good life. If my life was unstable I would never have had kids.
This is how many people fool themselves. Life is unpredictable. Husbands die in traffic accidents during the last trimester. People with newborns get fired. Wars break out. Wildfires turn east. The only way to ensure your children will never know instability is to ensure they are never born at all.
