Spirit got rid of their successful DA with an established pipeline just to keep the not successful DA with no pipeline is an over saturated market. This is their pathway to the pros? Even the diehards have to question this.
This is the most logical thing that has been said in this thread. By all accounts, the MD teams have been better run, and better positioned for success, than WSVA. MD announced last week the end of the Spirit affiliation and the move to Baltimore Armour. Given this fact (not rumor) about the MD teams, one has to ask why the VA teams would be treated differently by Spirit. Maybe Spirit told both MD and VA that Spirit was getting out of youth after the 19-20 season, and the MD team decided to make the break a year early? Time will tell with the VA teams, but the MD teams are already split from Spirit for next year.
did they officially announce that? I know its happening because the coaches have said it, but didnt see anything official.
If you mean an official announcement on the DA or Baltimore Armour website, then no, it has not been officially announced. But, as you said, the coaches have told the players and parents. If anyone doesn't believe it, come to the games this weekend at Evergreen and ask any of the MD parents.
