+1 There's also just no such thing as a whole school full of kids who are high achievers. There are certainly schools with MORE high achievers (read: more kids with plenty of advantages) but no school (even a private school) has only high achievers. That's what tells you these folks aren't really talking about high achievers, because even schools full of rich kids have some slackers, losers, addicts, depressives, and kids who just think they are too cool to try. Who said anything about wanting a school with 100% high achievers? We’re okay with at least 70% of students who are at least meeting all of the on grade level targets. It DOESN’T matter what class(rich middle poor) or color(pink, yellow, black or white).[/quote]

Do you guys even know what “grade level targets” are? It’s based on PARCC, which was a notoriously bad exam they are now abandoning. My child who consistently reads several grade levels ahead and received 99% scores on MAP R still only scored 4 (on grade level) on PARCC reading.[/quote]
