Whatt if the child stays with grandma sometimes in DC, but mom lives in MD? Is that allowed? Like, legally speaking, what is the requirement because like some have said, people tend to go back and forth a lot and have family all over the area Easy enough to put your mom's gas bill in your name. I have neighbors like this is why I ask; kid is at an HRCS.
Go to court and sign child over to grandma as guardian, amend taxes!
Spoken like someone with financial privilege. Sheesh.
Spoken like someone with a criminal background. Sheesh.
How ignorant are you PP? No, I don't have a criminal background. Are you implying that only criminals have the emotional and mental bandwidth to understand that poor people or moderately incomes people don't go to court for a piece of paper in regards to guardianship. If families are living in unstable homes wherein they have to temporarily live with relatives they just do it. Heck, even middle and Upper middle income people just pack their bags and move into another family members home without filing guardianship papers. But I understand that you lack the emotional and intellectual capacity to think outside the box or empathize with others.
