We for years have exspanded the economy and imported the labor for the crappy level of the economy. Now we are saying we want the imported labor to move to the middle? Who is going to back fill them? More illegals?  Imported labor rarely goes away but is rarely welcomed into the privileged labor class because it often corresponds to one for one displacement. 50 of our country is basically poor and the middle class is two way fluid.

Fix our guest worker program bring it out of the shadows and the equality conversation will have a real change to get started. The other problem is how much of a helping hand to we want to give to the URMs to counter the systemic institutional & economic 500 year head start white people have enjoyed. Typically power and treasure are taken not given so even having that conversation shows how great America is but if we are honest most token overtures will be superficial and condescending with the real actions will be to hold on to the Status quo.... hence republican majorities.[/quote]
