This is what someone needs to get answers from MCPS -

How many busses did this guy drive that did not have video cameras?

How often to the videos of buses (or at school for that matter) get checked?  Are they only checked when something is reported?

Have there been complaints about this bus driver BEFORE this incident?

I am thoroughly disgusted by MCPS because I know they keep questionable people in contact with children till MCPD has enough evidence for an arrest.  MCPS should look at their practice of progressive discipline and look at what they can do as an employer to fire people who commit acts such as being alone with children in either a classroom, office, or vehicle.  A child predator needs time alone with the child to commit rape.  Any employee who violates this Code of Conduct rule should be fired on the first provable offense.  It is ridiculous that currently MCPS does not follow a one strike and you are out policy for these types of offenses.

My guess is that the bus driver has been alone with children before.  I hope they are reviewing all videotapes they can find for this bus driver.  MCPS should also look into why the aide was off the bus.  This error by the aide gave the perpetrator time to commit the rape.  [/quote]
