With the way our coach manages games, I don't have a concern with current/anticipated roster size **right now.**  Our coach sends in substitutes at set time intervals, barring injuries.  (Yes, he's one of those hockey line changers.)  When we have all twelve girls at a game, I think he subs every 8 minutes.  He might have the goalkeeper swap with a defender, given that two players are staying on the field.

As far as **I** can tell, he's keeping overall playing time as even as possible.  I don't think any players or parents have concerns about disparities in that regard.  When we don't have our full squad at some games, a few players do get tired from playing longer stretches than "normal."[/quote]
There are 7 subs if every one is there.  Even if the coach gives everyone perfectly the same amount of time it's still ridiculous.  Kids want to play!  I would NEVER put my U10/U11 on a 9v9 (or an 11v11 team for that matter) if they had 7 subs.  Find a team that rosters 12 or 13 MAX.[/quote]
