This lame hatred arises from so much jealousy. It’s rough out there in nova. Just thrive at your second choice.
There are a lot of "sour grape" mommies on DCUM for UVA and TJ. They come out in droves to bash both insititutions whenever they get an opportunity. Must learn to ignore.
^ Reasons why people hate the UVA boosters.
See.. Another "sour grapes" mommy. <Ignore>
Brilliant! And, unfortunately, true. I know a lot of "sour grape mommies" who wanted to get their kids into RJ or UVA. The recent announcement of RD acceptances was brutal, as was Va Tech's. Virginians who really thought they could get into VT did not. Virginians who looked at the SCHEV reports and their high school Naviance just gave up and didn't even apply to UVA (the reason why applications are down). It's just getting more and more difficult to get into these schools. But I wish the moms (and dads and kids if on this board) to conduct themselves with class, or to use a word used by someone several pages back - to "be magnanimous" and not delight in bashing the schools here on DCUM.
