So I had been on the fence but took the plunge today. There is a showroom not far from where I live so I visited it to try out the bike first. About the bike itself, it's high quality. It's higher quality than the spin bikes at my gym. I have been doing spin classes for 10 years in various locations and this is better than my experience with gym bikes. I signed up with the 0% interest 39-month payment plan which includes the subscription for 39 months. I view it as a gym membership fee. I wouldn't use the bike without the subscription, so felt comfortable doing that, but not sure I'd do that if I didn't already have a history of doing spinning classes, though. I will report back to this thread!
I am the PP who wrote this and just wanted to report back that I am very pleased so far. I have been riding at least 5 days a week on average. I hit my 50th ride fairly quickly and got a live shoutout from the instructor. I was honestly surprised at how inspiring the shout-out was. I am looking forward to my century ride. I am even thinking of visiting the studio in NYC. I mostly do 30 and 45 minute rides. I haven't worked up the courage to try a 60 minute ride yet. My favorite instructors are Emma, Cody, Denis, Robin, Jess, and Jennifer. I occasionally do scenic rides as a recovery. Mostly I do prerecorded rides but I usually get in at least one live ride a week. I did have to upgrade my home WiFi. I don't think their WiFi in the tablet is very strong. Before I upgraded it was glitching a fair amount but post-upgrade it's been better. I wish I could say I'd lost a lot of weight but I haven't lost any (of course I haven't been dieting or really trying). However I sleep better so that's something, health-wise. Plus I can tell I'm stronger because I can do higher resistance/higher RPMs. All in all I'm still glad with the purchase.
