For a lot of private voucher  schools, academic standards are certainly a problem. The National Center for  Education Statistics indicates that conservative Christian schools do not get better tet scores than public schools. Secular organizations won't set up schools, because they know that no one can actually provide a decent education on what a voucher pays. Church schools get further subsidies, and a lot of them still can't do it.

Would the education be in a safe environment? If there's safety and discipline, one can actually learn. In my EotP school, there's neither so not much learning going on, no matter how much money DCPS throws at it.  PP, you sound more like someone who lives WotP and doesn't have a clue on how the other half or majority lives. I'll take the voucher, thank you very much.[/quote]

Here is the point your kid is successful in spite of the fact of going to the school

Most DCPS schools are terrible just look at the PARCC scores.  Charters have much better results when dealing with similar low income/high risk populations.[/quote]
