Is there any way you guys can sacrifice commute for 3-4 years and get a cheaper place? That might allow you to pour that money into an emergency fund, and once you hit say $20,000 you could start diverting the extra money to a mortgage down payment fund. DC is really tough, especially if you're still trying to get into the housing game at today's prices. [/quote]
