Since the money will now be spent on what you want because you want this done by "fiat", what will the money not be spent on? Travel and vacations? New cars? Housing additions? Clothing? New electronics? Landscaping? Passing it on via charity? New forms of entertainment? Because you want a mandate on spending how you want it, does that mean the earner doesn't get to decide where this 10-20k a year goes themselves, even though they earn it... because money can't be spent on two things at once? So just take from earners and spend it as you deem it should be? Do you see a problem with that thinking... because you're starving the economy of a lot of market driven forces by fiat.[/quote]
