U.S. TRANSPORTATION SECRETARY DUFFY SAYS FAA COULD DISMISS TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS WHO REPEATEDLY FAIL TO SHOW UP FOR WORK -- FOX NEWS INTERVIEW Ya, that will fix the problem.
This reality star is a joke. ATC has never been at full capacity since Ronald Reagan fired ATC back in the 80's. It has been very difficult to hire, train, and retain at full capacity
+1. I predict the air travel issue becomes a real issue next week and shutdown ends by next Friday.
Who do you predict will cave? Will Johnson bring back the House, or will Senate Democrats settle for T-shirts that read "I kept the government shut down for two weeks and the only concession I got was this stupid T-shirt"
PP here - I think GOP caves. Johnson can't keep the House out of session forever and avoid the Epstein issue or the budget. He knows this. RE: the Epstein files - GOP is in delay mode. Somewhere there's a plan with different delay tactics. Preventing this House vote is only one tactic and it's running out of time. There will be others. Dems have the upper hand. Those ACA premium notices are going out and people are missing and canceling travel (I just canceled a West Coast trip). Sean Duffy can talk tough all he likes, but if there's any air travel incident he and the GOP own it. The troops aren't going to get a full paycheck on Tuesday and that's going to start a cascade of stories about them not being able to afford their bills and groceries. Also #TACO. Where are all the firings/RIFs?
