I may be missing a lot of posts where Christians are telling other people they are going to burn in hell, but honestly don’t recall seeing those posts here. I see posts from atheists relating that someone in their childhood or a stranger on the street said those words to them. But I don’t see such language here. [/quote]

Even if true, why do you think that experiences atheists have with Christians (or Muslims or Jews or whoever) in real life doesn’t influence their perspectives?   I have been in uncomfortable situations with Christian friends.  I do devalue them a little as a result.  And since I believe they are generally kind and good people, I imagine it’s their adherence to their religion that makes them blind to how they are being unkind.  Which makes me distrust the religion.  [/quote]
