I don't know why I continue to watch this.... Kail takes her boys with her to school and can't even hand them her iPhone to keep them occupied?!? And Leah - between "I'm going to fight for what Ali needs" [- except when it is inconvenient for her. And why does she literally have a different vehicle in every single episode?
I love how Leah was all "I'm going back to college!" and wasted four episodes on that and then went to classes for two weeks before dropping out. Sure she's going to start online classes next semester. SURE she is.
It's easy for you to talk unless you're in that situation. She is a single mother to 3 kids, one with special needs. It's easy to pass judgement when you're not in the same situation. I don't agree with many of her choices but she has come a long way. She seems to be much better than the last couple of seasons.
I agree. And the myth that online classes are easier to handle is not that uncommon. Many students don't realize that if it's hard to concentrate on homework because your life is hectic, it's going to be impossible to concentrate on a class at home. I'm sure she intends to try, but probably won't be successful. And that's okay. I honestly felt really bad for her in the advisor's office as she basically admitted failing at something she had been really excited for. I think she should go back to some kind of trade school and get a specialized certificate, so she doesn't have to bother with classes that don't relate to her career. If freakin' Jenelle can complete surgical tech training, I think Leah has at least that much drive to do something similar. She has been doing a lot better this year. She has I think two SUVs that have been consistent, and then she has a van that she rents for the trips to Columbus. I almost (almost!) felt for Kail with having the boys act up at her class. I think a lot of moms (meaning moms on these shows, not the typical DCUM overachievers) would have used lack of childcare as an excuse to skip class. Sure, she should have solidified plans with Javi first, instead of calling him on the way, but I'll give her credit for showing up to class. My mom earned her bachelor's when I was maybe Isaac's age or a little older, and I attended a few of her classes. This was before tablets and phones, so I remember vividly sitting in the back of the classroom with a bag of Cheetos, chocolate milk, crayons, paper, and the fear of God if I acted up. I was surprised that Isaac was misbehaving and that Kail didn't give them her phone or have some kind of electronic babysitter. Isaac could have sat quietly reading or drawing, but Lincoln is what, 2 or 3? Not really reasonable to think he's going to entertain himself.
