[/quote] True story, hand on the Bible: I am from the Midwest, and we grew up calling our grandparents Grandma and Grandpa B and Grandma and Grandpa L. I currently live in the South, and apparently, "grandma names" are a whole thing: Mama, Mamaw, Meemaw, Nana, Grammy, GiGi..... When our daughter in law found out she was expecting, she asked me to come up with a grandma name, and I said, (with a little snark directed to my husband's ex): "I'll be Hot Grandma." He agreed, but the name didn't stick. [/quote]
