They aren’t baseless. The man’s car was impounded and police spend hours last night photographing garage in the dark. These are facts.[/quote]

It is very possible that their house is being examined because that’s the last place she went. It would make sense to see if any clues were left behind or evidence of someone  stalking her that night. Taking his car could be a required formality since she was in it a few hours earlier. Or they could be checking it for a tracking/bugging device. [/quote]
