Clubs are a sorting mechanism. Reasonably, high school coaches will infer something from it. If you go to an Ivy, employers will think you must be smart. And if you play for a top club, coaches will think you are a good lacrosse player. It’s a tremendous advantage to have people think this about you before you ever have to do something to prove it. This post is spot on. Colleges know what they get from players under Capital coaches. MDDC… ummmm…not so much. [/quote]

Playing for a top club does give an advantage as far as getting a foot in the door.  But in the end you have to perform on the field.  My DD plays for a top club and there's a handful of girls that don't belong.  Coaches might initially give them a look, but they will quickly move on. [/quote]
