Israel was a summer  camp kibbutz  country  until the 1970s. Nobody spoke the same language /Hebrew until kids grew up. Lots of Reverse Aliyah happened of Mizrahis who went back to the Arab countries out of disgust for the racist treatment and poor ghettoes in Israel.

Systematic oppression as you claim would mean Israel would have lines down the blocks in 1948 of Middle eastern Jews but that’s not what happened. Israel is an unnatural country  that populated itself by force and bribes to Americans or any Jews who moved . At one point, Eastern European Christians suffering communism were  lured to move in too
