NP. I went to the zoo in may and needed a pre-purchased parking pass, which was checked. Not sure how much has changed since then but the lots were almost full by 9:30. I’m not defending any part of their story but merely stating zoo facts. [/quote]

Sorry if that same across as rude but I’ve been multiple times in the last couple years and they are certainly not checking timed passes. Also, there is plenty of street parking available so a ticket or pass isn’t fully required to visit the zoo. And on top of it all, there is the metro [/quote]

I don't understand why we are arguing about this - it doesn't matter if the zoo is checking passes or not. Any mom planning a trip from Herndon to the zoo is going to get a timed pass because it's on the website and they aren't going to travel for the better part of an hour on a whim. The AP knew this and likely even had passes as part of the cover for this plan.[/quote]

Being part of a plan is all that makes sense because no one would really choose to take a four year old to the zoo in the cold and dark of a winter morning - that starts with an hour in rush hour traffic to boot.  That a just nuts. [/quote]

I agree BUT out of curiosity I looked at the weather that day. It was high 58 so actually a nice day for February.  Still, obviously it’s an alibi AND not really what happened.  [/quote]
