I read an interesting perspective that postulated the lower middle class republicans like his personality - they identify with the ball cap, the poor English, of course the blaming of the “Other” for everything wrong with their lives. Part of the “”Other” is the “out of touch liberal elites” and Trump’s appeal is that he is opposite of that, and is hated by them, which is added plus.[/quote]

The irony is that MAGA are the elites. For all of their "image" with Trump rallies in rural areas, MAGA voters have higher incomes, demographically speaking, as well as in their chosen leaders. MAGA is the elite swamp, and their policies, in general, do not help the average joe American. [/quote]
