Democrats are also spreading misinformation and disinformation that a teleprompter was shot and glass wounded Trump. The teleprompters were not shot.

Based on most political violence being right wingers, and the rhetoric of violence on the right wing and the biggest domestic threat being right wing extremists, I’d say “more violence to drive the narrative that America is falling apart.” That’s what I would say their motivation would be.
