I understand that you want this to be true and how frustrating it is losing kids to privates as a public schools supporter. But seriously get over it. You don’t see the Riverside fanbase making excuses about Han at Prep. We all get that this is new to you guys in Dulles but this is nothing new to Fairfax. Freedom and Champe got decimated by PVI… Welcome to the party. Langley gets hurt by this worse than any other team and it’s not really close. Dulles South dad imagine how you would feel about the PVI situation but now now imagine that it’s St. John’s Landon Prep McDonogh SSAS Potomac Gonzaga too. The point about Duenkel the PP was making is that beyond Langley getting hurt by as many or likely more players leaving for privates the level of player they are losing is also higher. Schools that are also effected the worst - McLean Madison If you ever want a clear picture of how crazy this is do yourself a favor and step away from NVYLL and goto the Landon Potomac middle school game and ask for a roster.
Agree. I think it’s worth noting that the effect of the private school recruitment on public school lacrosse is nothing compared to other sports. In basketball and soccer NOVA publics lose the majority of their best players to private schools and development academies. This has been a good thing for lacrosse in nova otherwise the rec only kids would not have a chance to play on thier highschool teams.
