And you know it's just going to be performance--FCPS will be able to keep them as long as the CDC recommends it (and that's how long they would have kept them anyway) or the legislation changes--which isn't the governor anyway.  I hope you think about your voting a little more carefully rather than impulsively in the future if this really is your thought process.[/quote]

[i]I do think my voting for Youngkin will be worth it to me and my family. I am hoping that FCPS will bend to the pressure sooner rather than later. We shall see. FWIW, I care mostly about protecting the environment in meaningful ways, enacting strict gun control, and balancing the budget. Not like the Democrats are getting any of that done for me.

And VA requires a balanced budget so not sure why that’s relevant. Federally, Ds do a better job at balancing the budget.

Yes, for real. Four years of Youngkin versus four years of McAuliffe will likely not make much difference with regard to the policies I care about.

Sounds reasonable to me. If you care about restricting 2A but you know the Dems won’t do anything about that anyway you may as well choose according to other issues, even if you care about them less.

Choosing on an issue they won’t take action on anyway and allowing the one that can actually be affected by your vote to go the opposite way would be irrational.
