Let's say you're right. The killer could still take the body from the house when he left. If he had enough strength to kill her, he could carry her small body. Then he could still theoretically get paid because no one would know she was dead. And the cops would be missing out on crucial evidence while they searched for her. [/quote]

Alternatively, if you believe the Ramsey's did it, why wouldn't they remove their child's body from the house and bury her somewhere so no one would ever know what happened? Everyone would think JB was kidnapped and never found. It doesn't make sense to go through this elaborate cover-up of using a garrote and sexually assaulting your child when they could've disposed of her body in other ways that would've left much less evidence.[/quote]

I can think of possibilities. For example: Perhaps only one parent killed her but then the other perhaps awoke unexpectedly and was pressured to get involved. Maybe The accomplice couldn't bear to leave  her to get eaten in the wild by rodents or whatever. So instead they put her in her PJs and wrapped her in a blanket. (It's relatively common for killers who felt affection toward those they killed to do stuff like this.). Maybe only one parent did it all but they thought the other would be awakened/alerted if they left the home because of alarm door chime, sound of door opened, dragging body, etc. So they did what they could to misdirect with the note but left the body in the home. Well, there are TWO parents. Maybe one was the "bad" one. The Boulder cop whose Reddit was saved in the Denver newspaper link suggested that the autopsy indicated that there was prior sexual molestation.

Maybe the parent who was less culpable just got mind fucked that night by her spouse, did what she was told to do to get by, and thereafter drugged herself to deal with the horror of it all.[/quote]
