I worked in the infant room at a daycare when I was in college and that cemented my opinion. It was a great facility and the babies were very well cared for but there was no way I would do that to my kids unless I absolutely had to. [/quote] Huh. I actually disagree. And I never had an infant in daycare (so maybe that's why I don't really see it.) And I never had infants either. We adopted both of ours at ages 2 and 3 respectively. So, honestly, different people cared for our daughters before we got them (and, yes, when they were infants) and we all just have to live with it. That's the way the cookies crumbled, for us. And everyone is fine. Shrug. I think if you live a "regular, middle-class" life you sometimes do not see that real people really can survive and yes even thrive in ways you may not have considered.
