So none of the "sources" were eyewitnesses. They only "knew" thirdhand information, at best.

Nope. As Bart Ehrman pointed out, Paul knew Jesus’ brother James and his disciple Peter. As Bart says, if Jesus didn’t exist, his brother James would have said something about it. [/quote]
