I just went and looked on the sample on Amazon...here it is in all its glory:

These words and stories are dedicated to the medical professionals out there doing the darn thang!  More specifically, to those who are out there but often get overlooked and undermentioned!  Like the surgical first assistants, scrub and surgical techs, all y'all operating room nurses, respiratory therapists, anesthesia techs, and anesthesiologists!  All y'all residents, sterile processing technicians, patient care techs, food and nutrition services, oh, and housekeeping.  Don't sleep on housekeeping!  I see y'all out there keeping us alive, and I can't thank you enough.

This book is dedicated to you.

Oh, and also to ALL the Black peope.  All y'all!  Every single last one of us!  I see you, family.  Keep your head up.

Two quick thoughts:

1.) "darn thang" sounds so cheesy, like someone trying to sound "black "

2.) Shouldn't the second sentence say "but WHO often get overlooked" rather than "but often"?[/quote]
