I’m a liberal and want help for the dreamers but don’t think this shut down is worth it. You shouldn’t shut down the government to support people that are not voting constituents. At best it will do nothing because they can’t vote and it has the potential to cost you the next election.
I kind of agree, but am tired of the he Dems being the only ones who have to give in while the are dig in and refuse to budge. Do you think the Dems should give in on CHIP too?
You agree on the basic issue but are tired of giving in or in other words losing. The way to start winning is for the.democratic party to head.back to the center not further to the left than it already is. Your party needs to be where Joe manchin is not Bernie Sanders. The democrats seem to have written off huge swaths of the country but that's where the Senate votes and electoral college vote are. Feel good marches in pink hats and social media tantrums and calling over half of the country racists May give the left a nice warm feeling in it's collective nappy but doesn't win the.votes you need.
Results in VA, Alabama, and looking like possibly Wisconsin, do not support your theory.
