Why are they waiting until June to make boundary decisions for Western High school? It should come B comprehensive boundary vote. This makes no sense at all. So, let's say Fox Mill kids "opt in" but then don't get "in boundary" and boundary remains South Lakes. Or, Crossfield kids "opt in" and then don't get in boundary and remain Oakton. Why are they doing it this way? Please, someone, explain it to me. What do these people have for brains?
I would assume those kids who opted in would get to stay at Western HS for the duration of their high school years. I wonder then if a younger sibling would also get to opt in to Western (assuming they are both attending at same time)? And could a kid who opted in then opt back out and go to base school if they decided to do that after a year or two? All this mess because they are afraid of certain parents.
