We have seen similar in our DC’s age group. I only know what has happened with the top two teams. A couple of kids had been playing up an age group and went down the following year to play with their own age. A couple other kids left to focus on other sports. One went to another club. And yes kids have been moved down and others moved up. [b]I think Valor could do a better job evaluating players at tryouts.[/b] It took a while for the team placements to be fully settled and mostly correct. But if you’re lucky, the coaches in your DC’s age group stay in frequent communication and make adjustments as needed. I imagine some of the problems are happening in age groups where the coaches of the different teams don’t talk to each other much. [/quote]

Too much scrimmaging and not enough drills. But that’s probably true at a lot of clubs. I’ve seen one club focus more on drills, but it was a smaller club. Fewer kids is easier to manage in drills. [/quote]
