My armchair diagnosis is that Kail has a subconscious aversion to the kind of guys that Suzi dated and has developed an attraction for/ seeks out men who do not fit that mold. Suzi was clearly an awful parent whose inconsideration for Kail has left a lasting impact on her personality. I don't like Kail but I can definitely see why she is so unlikeable and how that came to be. She has had absolutely no stability or peace in her life and quite literally I think does not know how to exist in a normal day to day family situation or show or accept love from anyone but her kids. I absolutely see how it came to be as you said. Makes perfect sense, but everybody has shit. Jail has the resources to get actual HELP to fix what was broken by her POS mother.[/quote]
