The club retaliated against my kid. What can I do about it? I have proof.
I think HYS is a dump but to think a club would take the time to "retaliate" against your kid is absurd. Maybe they were sick and tired of dealing with a crazy parent(s) and just cut the kid or put him on another team. You have to understand that you and your precious kid are not the only kids playing for the club.
Hence the founding of Club Deportivo Sterling. Here to take HYS and Sterling SC piece of the pie until they have none left para comer!
This is a rec org for disadvantaged kids with maybe 3 or 4 teams total, they play games even for teenagers on terrible elementary school grass fields. No one is worried about competing with them. But good for them for trying to help out their community.
I don't see why they exist, really, Sterling soccer is well run, has financial aid, and actual decent fields.
Sterling well run??!?! Really? Deportivo Sterling destroys Sterling teams year after year at any of the age groups that Deportivo has a team. Deportivo wasn't made to take players but to support a huge group of kids who can't and/or don't want to pay $3000 to play soccer. As far as the fields go, what does that have to do with anything? They practice on grass, you don't need perfect turf to make you a good player or learn how to play the game, and if anyone has seen Deportivo play, they can see that those kids love the game and beat many of the "great" "top" teams who have amazing turf in "well run" clubs
This is such a bizarre take. Deportivo has a total of 2 travel teams. They beat Sterling by 1 goal for 2014B, 2016B score literally doesn't matter, so I'm not sure where this year over year comment comes from. Sterling is also not $3k a year, they are less than $2k a year. I hate when people use misinformation when trying to make their case, which is exactly what's happening here.
