I don’t think that’s true at all, but I do think being closeted and likely self-hating is correlated with bad stuff.  I’m Catholic and I think the problem with predatory priests totally arose from the hypocrisy around gay stigma.  Once you’ve said that same-sex relationships are transgressive and bad, you start to lose focus on what actually is transgressive and bad (abuse of power or lack of consent).  I think urban Black rap culture historically stigmatized gay male behavior much like the Catholic Church did, so they ended up with a similar problem.  Stigmatizing gay men is NOT the solution to the problem.  Gay men who are out and comfortable with their sexuality are probably the least likely men to be predatory.  [/quote]

This is a response that fits with what we would all like to believe as liberals. But there’s something more going on here. The incredibly high rates at which young boys are preyed upon by adult men in the gay community to the point at which being sodomized as a minor by a much older man is virtually a rite of passage for gay men bears closer examination. Lying to yourself in order to avoid discomfort and keep up with progressive dogma at the expensive children isn’t good. [/quote]

You have the right to lie to yourself in order to maintain your politically correct delusions, but you don’t have the right to force others to play along.

Even if you don’t hang out with enough gay men to hear how many have stories of being “turned out” by older men as kids and early teens, there is A LOT of objective evidence establishing that gay youths average age at sexual debut is 13 to 14 and even YOUNGER for black gay youths…AND these youths partners (aka molestors) are typically fully adult men.
