Stud coach and glorified PE teacher are not mutually exclusive.  To the contrary, they go hand in hand.  can anyone name a top level DMV HS lacrosse coach who is a genuine teacher in a serious subject like math or history?[/quote]

Bellistri teaches doesn't he? Landon is a bit of an outlier here, as Bordley taught for his entire coaching career, Healy was apparently a better teacher than coach since covid lasted longer than he did as an HC, and McGettigan is a high school teacher.

But the age of the teacher-coach with how much goes into both jobs is probably winding down. Ask yourself if you'd be better positioned to win games coaching PE / working in athletics or dealing with DC parental demands in the classroom. [/quote]
