The problem is stress, bad administration/micromanagement, and too little autonomy. Raising pay isn't going to retain stressed unhappy teachers.[/quote] The pay is a huge part of the problem. You can offset a ton of work related stress if you aren’t also worried about paying your bills. [/quote] This 100%. It’s miserable going from a high stress position where you’re disrespected by many to a house that you can’t afford to keep up. [/quote]
