Don’t you dare ask where her parents were. They did not know about the police video until after she was missing. They only knew what their adult daughter told them. The second something felt off and they didn’t hear from her they began calling Brian, his parents and then the police. They did everything right here, so don’t for a second criticize grieving parents.[/quote]

People are scared to believe that something like this could happen to their child, so they convince themselves that, if [u]they[/u] were the parents, they would have been able to stop it. It’s human nature, I guess. It’s still so cruel to her parents. [/quote]

+1 - she was 22 years old. She has raised the money to buy this van. Brian wasn't some random guy.

At 22 my parents would have absolutely come to my aid if I had asked, but day to day I was living 300 miles away in a medium sized city. I had a job and a car. I saw them maybe once a month, if that. [/quote]
